Factory Reset and Restart Procedures
⚠️ Important: There is NO hardware reset button on any BESTMOW device (mower, charging station, or RTK). Do not look for a pin-hole or hidden button — it does not exist.
Mower — Restart
- Remove the mower from the charging dock.
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn off.
- Wait for the display and all indicator lights to go completely off.
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn back on.
- Confirm the display lights up with
0000.
Mower — Error Reset (Blinking Display)
If the mower display shows a fixed number blinking, this indicates an error state. To clear it:
Press the START and OK/SET keys simultaneously.
This is the key combination reset — it clears the error and restores normal operation.
Charging Station — Restart
- Unplug the power cable from the wall socket.
- Wait 5 seconds.
- Plug the power cable back in.
- Confirm the green indicator light begins blinking or turns solid.
RTK Base Station — Restart
- Unplug the power cable.
- Wait 3 seconds.
- Plug the power cable back in.
- Confirm the green indicator light returns.
Full Software Reset (Delete and Re-Add Device)
To fully reset the mower's software configuration and re-establish all connections:
- Open the BESTMOW app.
- Delete the mower from the app.
- Re-add the device using the "+" button.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to re-pair via Bluetooth and set up Wi-Fi.
This clears all local settings and re-establishes the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection from scratch.
When to Restart vs. When to Contact Support
- Restart first: Most temporary issues (connectivity drops, display errors, unresponsive behavior) are resolved by a simple restart. BESTMOW support estimates that restarting solves 99% of problems.
- Contact support if: The issue persists after restart, the mower shows a persistent error code after the START + OK/SET reset, or you suspect hardware damage.
