Sprinkler Systems, Garden Beds, and Electric Fences
Sprinkler Systems
- Sprinkler heads that are visually apparent on the lawn surface will be detected as obstacles by the mower's cameras.
- It is recommended to map sprinkler heads as obstacles during the initial mapping setup for reliable avoidance.
- Do NOT schedule mowing and irrigation at the same time.
In-Ground Irrigation
In-ground irrigation systems do not interfere with the mower's operation.
Garden Beds and Flower Beds
Use the no-go zone (obstacle mapping) feature in the BESTMOW app to protect garden beds, flower beds, and other delicate landscaping areas. See the mapping instructions for how to create these zones.
Invisible / Electric Dog Fences
Electric fields from invisible dog fences will NOT interfere with BESTMOW's connectivity or operation. The mower will not trigger electric fence signals, and the fence signal will not affect the mower.
Note: Signal jammers and sub-1GHz radio frequencies could theoretically interfere with the mower's 802.11ah (WiFi HaLow) connection to the charging station, but this is extremely rare in residential settings.
