Pet and Child Safety
Important Safety Warnings
- Only schedule mowing times when no people or pets are present on the lawn.
- Do NOT leave the mower unattended if pets, children, or people are nearby.
- NEVER allow children to touch the power supply, charging station, blades, battery compartment, or wheels.
- If your lawn is publicly accessible or open to neighbors, install a fence, barrier, or warning sign: "WARNING! Automatic Lawn Mower in Operation. Keep Away! Supervise Children!"
- Recommended operator age: 18–70 years old.
How the Mower Responds to People and Animals
- The mower makes a beeping sound when a human or animal is detected.
- The mower stops and waits for the person or animal to move out of the way for several seconds, then drives around them.
- If the mower is lifted, the blades automatically stop (hall sensor lift detection).
- If a collision is detected, the blades automatically stop (bumper hall sensors).
Best Practices
- Map fixed objects (furniture, trampolines, play equipment) as obstacles during initial setup for maximum route planning efficiency.
- Use no-go zones around play areas, pet areas, and garden beds.
- Schedule mowing during times when children and pets are indoors.
Limitations
While BESTMOW is equipped with safety sensors, risks still exist. The cameras and sensors have limitations in low-light conditions, and small or fast-moving objects may not always be detected. Supervision is always recommended.
