Mower Cannot Find Its Way Back to the Charging Station After Relocation
Why This Happens
The charging station does not have a GPS module. The mower identifies the charging station's position by sensing charging current when it is physically docked. If the charging station is moved while the mower is out mowing, the mower will attempt to return to the old coordinates and will not find the charging station at its new location.
How to Correctly Relocate the Charging Station
The charging station can be relocated, but the mower must be on the charging station during or after the move:
- Stop any active mowing task and return the mower to the charging station.
- Move the charging station (with the mower on it, or place the mower on it immediately after moving).
- Once the mower detects charging current at the new location, it will automatically update its internal record of the charging station's position.
- Run a test mow to verify the mower can navigate to and from the new location correctly.
If the Mower Is Already Lost
If the charging station was moved while the mower was out mowing and the mower cannot find the dock:
- Manually carry or guide the mower back to the charging station at its new location.
- Place it on the charging station and let it begin charging.
- The mower will register the new position once it detects charging current.
⚠️ Critical — Do Not Move the RTK at the Same Time
If you move only the charging station (with the mower) and the RTK remains in place, your maps should remain valid. However, if you move both the charging station and the RTK, all map data will be corrupted and must be recreated from scratch. The charging station has no GPS — the RTK is the only absolute position reference in the system.
