The charging station must connect to the 2.4G WiFi signal in your home and does not support 5G WiFi. Please ensure your router supports the 2.4G frequency band.
Weather Resistance The charging station is rated IP65 and is designed for permanent outdoor installation. It handles normal mowing-season rain, humidity, and sun exposure without requiring a shelter, canopy, or weatherproof enclosure. Overhead structures are prohibited regardless — they interfere with GPS and RTK signals.
Indoor storage applies only during the winter off-season. When the mowing season ends, disconnect the power adapter and bring the charging station inside to protect it from extreme cold and moisture. Return it to its outdoor location in spring before restarting. See: Winter Storage and Winterization.
Installation Location Selection:
- Choose a location close to the router to ensure strong WiFi signal strength.
- Avoid corners, as the signal is usually weak and penetration is poor.
The charging station must be installed at least 2 meters (approximately 7 feet) away from walls on all sides to reduce signal obstruction and allow the mower to navigate back accurately.
Ensure the area in front of the charging station is spacious and flat, with at least 0.5 meters (1.5 feet) of clearance on each side to facilitate the mower's docking adjustment.
- If coverage for both front and back yards is needed, select a location with minimal wall penetration to ensure effective signal transmission.
Place the charging station in an open outdoor area with no overhead obstructions. Do not place under a canopy, overhang, or covered structure, as this may interfere with GPS and RTK signals.
Once installed, the charging dock should not be moved. If you need to relocate it, use the "Relocate Charging Station" function in the app (Operations & Connectivity > Relocate Charging Station). For more information, check: RTK and Charging Station Relocation Guide
